Life in the Vineyard

Life in the vineyard,  is a phrase I use to describe God’s Kingdom. It is a place where we learn, teach, work and play, all to God’s glory. I am often asked what is the difference between God’s Kingdom and the world. I use the term world to describe anything other than God’s Kingdom. Whether we seek to learn certain lessons, everyday holds little treasures that we can use or bury under the sand in a chest.

Poetic Injustice

Are we fighting for justice for Michael Brown? Michael Brown is dead! Trayvon Martin went on ahead, and Emmett Till’s torturous murder has led. Where hate persists and injustice bled. We pursue justice for the living. There is no justice for the dead only the sting of lifeless promise pursued by dread. We must pay attention! Yesterday was subject to past persecutions; remember those who laid down their lives for today’s decisions. Pay attention! Think about how peace prevailed, and then we must examine our hearts intention. Be quiet and...

Devotion on Peace, Jerry Kotzman

Jeremiah 29:11-“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Isaiah 26:3-“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 53:4-6-“4 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.  5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and...

My Place

White sand beneath my feet cools Blue skies above a cherished comfort The warmth of sunshine yield to natures grow While the sea lives an abundance flow This is my place I yearn to go. Jeaniene Bonner Davis

Awake

What does it mean to receive salvation? Most say its freedom from eternal sin and death Can’t imagine I would agree with the rest We live our lives full of delusion and confusion Absent from today’s reasons, we yield to stress Awake from sin people; it’s morning Realize the wealth of life you’ve been given Awake children of Christ far and near Exhale, inhale the breath of new life has risen here. Time

Time is more valuable than gold A treasure appointed unto man once Spent before ancient days of old Wisdom lost in thoughtless insignificant renaissance Lives forge forward without dreams or visions Days past time unforgiving Nights permeate sins decisions Today vessels are full to give in living Jeaniene Bonner Davis

A Thought To Ponder

A Thought To Ponder

Titles  identify one’s authority, pedigree, position in a family or employment and etc… Within the body of Christ, some churches identity each other by  titles.  My personal views of should we regard these titles because of tradition, is held more in the line of respecting the elders who have served many years proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. I would much rather respect the well maintained Christian life of a title recipient. “Those who hold themselves in high regards, define themselves by the regards of...

The Painter’s Masterpiece

The Painter’s Masterpiece

The picture holds many images. There are men, women and children from every nation and tongue. Dancing, crying, and laughing in complete day’s sunlight. The others who are awake sleep in darkness, proclaiming of daylights awakening Singing to endless harmonies orchestrated by a hunger and thirst For the One delight which fills exists within all. Mountains vibrate echoes of gratitude and praise where cattle on a thousand hills gaze. While they who wait in valleys kneel before shouts of despair and faith, waiting to move from this place. They...
